Alma Mexicana, meaning Mexican Soul, is a group that presents traditional Mexican dances. For the past 15 years, this group has been passionate about preserving and showcasing the diverse and rich cultural heritage from Mexico. Counting in their repertoire are dances from the northeast of Mexico to the southern state of Chiapas and from east to west. Alma Mexicana brings the heart and soul of Mexican traditions to audiences all around Atlanta, performing at festivals, cultural events and many others.
This year, the group embarks on an exciting new chapter as they take their talent and passion internationally, bringing the beauty of Mexican dance to Cartagena, Colombia for the “Fiesta en America” Festival.
