Cat & Mouse

The 36th annual Fine Arts Exhibition explores the meaning of the game of “Cat & Mouse” in all its aspects: historical, political, and moral. This game of constant pursuit, capture, and escape is a trope of fables, fiction, movies, and cartoons. Will one win over the other, or are the combatants locked in a never-ending game where the upper hand is gained, but eventually lost?

The exhibit is on the Fourth Floor Gallery of the Decatur Library, 215 Sycamore St.

Brought to you by the Decatur Arts AllianceGeorgia Center for the Book, the DeKalb Co. Public Library, and DeKalb Library Foundation.

Turbulence Community Exhibit

When waves crash from all sides and the air becomes violently choppy, finding the way back to solid ground can seem like an insurmountable feat.  For this third installment of the Decatur Arts Alliance’s annual community exhibition, artists are encouraged to consider “Turbulence” as a theme, exploring the trials, troubles, and triumphs we experience when faced with tempestuous circumstances.

The exhibit is in the Decatur Arts Alliance Gallery, 113 Clairemont Ave.

The gallery will have special viewing hours during the Decatur Arts Festival:
Saturday, May 3 • 10 am-6 pm
Sunday, May 4 • 11 am-5 pm
