Tresha has exhibited in private and non-profit galleries around the southeast, as well as the occasional festival. Her work has been purchased for private collection and for a major motion picture. A self-proclaimed professional dabbler, Tresha has worked in comedy clubs, a photography gallery, and corporate finance — all of which have influenced her eclectic portfolio to various degrees.

“This series originated with a routine trip through the car wash. As I was studying the patterns and colors on my windshield, I suddenly decided to take some photos with my phone. Noting some of the more interesting frames, I later pulled those images through various editing apps. As I mirrored the images and applied different effects, I started seeing complex creatures and designs emerge through the water and bubbles. The water provided an unexpected vibrant and whimsical palette with multiple layers.

The great appeal of this series is leaving the initial creative springboard to chance. I simply use the images on my phone as a starting point and push along the evolution to something more interesting. While some images are more straight-forward, others have an intriguing Rorschach effect. As a result, I’ve decided it’s more interesting to simply number the images, as opposed to assigning titles. The dialogue around the images is as much fun as the creative process.” – Tresha Glenister, Avondale Estates, GA
