Jazz meets swing meets rock ’n roll in this petite chanteuse with the long red curls. With a talented band and four CDs to her credit, she has been voted Atlanta’s favorite jazz/swing singer three times in the past four years.
1 pm • Mieka Pauley
With her own vision of soul, blues, rock, acoustic, alternative music, Mieka won the first-ever Starbucks Emerging Artist Award, the Rocky Mountain Folk Festival Songwriter Showcase and the Rock Boat/BMI song contest. Her new album, Elijah Drop Your Gun, was released independently in November 2007.
2 pm • Emily Kate Boyd & Band
Emily released her latest recording, Paint My Heart White, independently in March. She has co-written lyrics with Molly Bancroft and performed on Molly’s 2006 release Red Dirt Diaries.
3 pm • Morgan Rowe Band
Decatur’s own singer/songwriter conjures up some of today’s best female voices, adding her own distinctive style of lyric writing and a solid guitar-driven band.
4 pm • Golden
Moving both body and spirit with a unique blend of rock and pop, Golden has performed in Atlanta and on the road at venues from South Carolina to Texas. The band’s second album is slated for release this summer.
7-9:30 pm • Concert on the Square: Baatin & Top Secret
Baatin grew up in Hawkinsville, Georgia, where he played in a local band called Black Snow. He moved on to other bands before turning to jazz with the trio Top Secret. In 2000 he released his debut album, Sunday Brunch.

Noon • Lindsay Rakers Band
Lindsay has played the Atlanta open mic and music club circuits as a solo artist, hosted her own open mics, and played at Music Midtown and the 2007 Dogwood Festival, as well as Decatur Concerts on the Square.
1 pm • The Brilliant Inventions
The acoustic-pop band won an Eddie’s Attic Open Mic Shootout and was voted Best New Local Music Act by the Atlanta Creative Loafing Readers Poll.
2 pm • Bonaventure Quartet
With singer Amy Pike. The group’s repertoire includes performances of classic standards, western swing, gypsy jazz and original compositions influenced by French gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt.
3 pm • Larry Griffith Band
Larry is an original blues artist with a style that brings to mind several classic innovators. With an exceptionally intimate live show, he and the band break down musical preconceptions and engage the audience in having a good time.
4 pm • Kristin Markiton
Former front-woman for popular Deltabilly/blues/rock band Delta Moon, Kristin released her solo debut CD, Wandering Moon, in which she is backed by an all-star cast of Atlanta area musicians.
