Sunday, May 26 • 3 pm

First Baptist Church of Decatur • 308 Clairemont Ave. [Map]

The concert features special tributes to all who have served this country from the Revolutionary War to the present conflict in the Middle East. A special media presentation will salute the United States and the Decatur Civic Chorus members and their families. The program will be dedicated to Dawn Thomas, a long-time member of the chorus, whose husband, sister-in-law, and five sons all served in the Armed Forces.

The Decatur Civic Chorus, founded in 1948, is one of the oldest continuing choral groups in the Southeastern United States. The group brings quality concerts to the public and performs benefit concerts for groups such as the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, children’s hospitals and the Children’s Wish Foundation.

The DCC has toured Europe extensively and has been recognized on state, national, and international levels for its contributions to the world community.
